Apple announced expected 3G iPhone yesterday 9th of June at World Wide Developers Conference. New iPhone 3G ships with software version 2.0 supporting SDK and AppStore for downloading 3rd party apps. Also GPS location is now included with the new iPhone. It is available in two colors: black and white. Prices start from $199 for 8GB model and $299 for 16GB model. Phone is released in 20 countries (including Finland!) on the 11th of July.
I assume that on top of the $199 price is gonna come another pricey 24 month contract with mobile operator.
It seems beside being communication and music device, iPhone is now becoming also a gaming device. There were bunch of games announced at WWDC which take advantage of iPhone’s accelerometers.
